What exactly is wrong???

Round up a few people, give them a topic about Nepali movies and listen to their conversation. At first, they don’t want to discuss on that….luckily if they did chances are you will get a long long list of dissatisfaction. Now, change the topic to Indian movies……….no wonder there wont be any chance of dissatisfaction.

Actually, I am here not able to figure out what exactly goes wrong with our Nepali movies. Is it the same old classic story, awful dialogue delivery, cinematography or is it never ending dhisum dhisum??????????Phewwwww Presentation style of the movie  is so cliched and predictable that they fail to raise interest of viewers.

I think we need such people in the industry who make the movies what they are. Copying and pasting is not a new formula but if done innovatively definitely can collect the audiences. People might agree to me if I say Nepali movies (except few exceptional), if new experiments are made they have chances of queuing the viewers outside the theatres. Korean movies are good example for us, their story telling, presentation style, technical aspect are so good that have made themselves international. And let's keep in mind that these Korean movies are not that big budgeted like Hollywood or Bollywood movies. So Nepali filmmakers' excuse of saying "Nepali film ma budget nai hudaina"does not work.

We wish to see a lot of good movies which mutes all those who just go snigger-snigger and poke poke about Nepali movies. Well…..pressure is on the directors. It’s a high time for them to create such an ambience where we all can say…….If Indian movies rock, Nepali movies rock too. Can we be left behind?
